Kongsberg RCU-502 - 330925 (Rev. 1.4.4) Remote Controller Unit
The Kongsberg RCU-502 is a high-performance real-time process control computer designed for marine and industrial applications. Equipped with an embedded Power PC™ processor and Ex Zone 2 certified, it delivers reliable performance in harsh operating conditions. The device features dual Ethernet LAN, two RedundancyNet interfaces, two Remote IO buses (RBUS), four digital inputs and outputs and 32 serial communication ports. It also provides seamless integration with third-party devices with two PROFIBUS and two CANBUS channels. Its robust body with IP protection class, redundant power input and fault monitoring features ensure long-lasting use, while the Advanced Internal Self-Test (BIST) system provides real-time diagnostics and minimum downtime. Compatible with Modbus (Serial and TCP), NMEA 0183, PROFIBUS/PROFIsafe and CAN/DeviceNet protocols, the RCU-502 is ideal for critical control and monitoring applications such as dynamic positioning, propeller control, navigation sensor integration and process automation. RoHS compliant and DIN rail mountable, it has been developed for harsh industrial and marine conditions.
